  1. The Sacramento Poor People’s Campaign’s Zoom Meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 14, via Zoom. Get involved locally by joining the next Sacramento Poor People’s Campaign meeting. The featured speaker is Kimberly Coleman Berger, founding member, Badassery Group. Free, attendees must register for the meeting link.
  2. W.O.W Bus 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Gum Ranch Park, Fair Oaks. The W.O.W (Wonderful Outdoor World) Bus is getting kids back outdoors. This free program brings children and families together through various activities. Group games and artistic skills will be encouraged. Recreation leaders will provide direction to the children and get them engaged and interested in something they may not have tried before. Free and open to the public.
  3. Creativity Speaks: Nick Barry & Melissa Muganzo 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Urban Hive. Melissa Muganzo (she/they/sis) is an activist, entertainer, and founder of Muganzo Entertainment. A dynamic cultural leader and humanitarian, she champions Black ingenuity as a catalyst for global progress in technology, entertainment and beyond. Tickets are $18.
  4. Barrington Levy 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Harlow’s. Barrington Levy is a driving force in reggae music and remains a favorite of audiences throughout the world. His unique voice and expressive song style have made Levy one of the most requested vocalists in reggae music history. Tickets are $45.
  5. Sip N’ Socialize 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Shipwrecked Paradise Island, 1510 16th St. No. 300. Socialize with the SacAsian Chamber at this quarter’s featured member business. Connect with the staff and learn how the chamber can support you and your small business; sip delicious drinks and indulge in appetizers from Shipwrecked Paradise Island; socialize with small business owners, Sacramento locals and new connections. Tickets are $18.
  6. Herman Wrice & Aaron Branch: The Dysfunctional Friends Tour 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Punch Line Comedy Club. This live comedy show leverages the distinct comedic styles of Herman Wrice and Aaron Branch to explore the humorous side of modern friendships. Tickets from $34.
  7. ‘New Wave’ Noon-5 p.m. Friday-Sunday, July 18-27, at the Axis Gallery, 625 S St. Ten artists were selected this year from a competitive pool of applicants to join the Axis organization. “New Wave” introduces diverse perspectives as the inaugural group debuts more than 20 works to the community. Featured artists include Delgreta Brown, Sokthea Chan, Raffa! Chávez, Adam Cochran, Cara Gregor, Kenneth Jordan, Fiona K. Lau, Elise Mahan, Taner Pasamehmetoglu and Sharon Tsao. Free and open to the public.
  8. ANIME MARKET SACRAMENTO 2025 1-7:30 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, July 18-20, at the Sacramento Convention Center Complex. Experience a curated mix of artists, small businesses, and all things anime. Tickets from $26.
  9. ITV SHOWCASE 2 6-10 p.m. Friday, July 18, at 1614 X St. Come out for a night of high-energy performances featuring 18 local artists, including Noel, Chris Kash, Traggic and more. Tickets are $13.
  10. Reggae Tribute to Toots & The Maytals featuring Junior Toots, Kulcha Knox 6-10 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Swabbies Restaurant and Bar. Junior Toots, son of the legendary Toots Hibbert of Toots & the Maytals, has been a mainstay reggae artist on the world stage for 20 years. He has an ever-growing fan base and has captivated audiences far and wide with his electrifying high-energy performances, soul-filled vocals and socially relevant lyrics. Tickets from $21.
  11. Summer Movie Nights with Folsom Parks & Recreation 6:30-10:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the Andy Morin Sports Complex, Folsom. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets for a family movie night series. Enjoy the amenities and activities at the sports complex led by the sports staff. The feature film is “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” Free and open to the public.
  12. 2nd Annual Gabby – Walk Towards a Safe Space Event 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Elk Grove Park. Lace up your walking shoes and join this second annual 5k walk to create a safe space for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Together, we’ll raise awareness, offer hope and take meaningful steps toward prevention through education and community support. Speakers from the national group Friends for Survival and other local services will be there to support and share information to help make a difference. Free and open to the public.
  13. Tacos & Tequila Fund-Fiesta 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Rancho Cordova City Hall. Join the Rancho Cordova Kiwanians and your neighbors for an afternoon of great food, ice cold drinks and service. For three hours, guests will enjoy authentic, all-you-can-eat street tacos. In addition to an ample meal, the ticket includes one free drink. Additional margaritas, beer, wine and tequila tasting also will be available. Tickets are $50.
  14. Classic Soul Music and BBQ 6-9 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Capital City Elk Lodge, 3706 Stockton Blvd. A night of classic soul music and mouthwatering barbecue featuring Tony Miller. Presented by DJ Foxzy and Friends, get ready to groove to the tunes of legendary soul artists while enjoying delicious barbecue dishes. Preorder your plate and pay less at the window.   15. Comedy Night At the Guild Theater 7-10 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Guild Theater. Hosted by comedian Dru Burks, featuring performances from Marcus Mangham, Mark Gee and headlined by Esua McGraw. Tickets are $28.
  16. ‘Disney Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour’ 7 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Golden 1 Center. Performances by your favorite Disney stars from “Descendants: The Rise of Red” (Kylie Cantrall, Malia Baker, Dara Renee and Joshua Colley) and “Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires” (Freya Skye, Malachi Barton and Mekonnen Knife).
