Elk Grove held a Juneteenth celebration organized by local nonprofit Dreams Unlimited, which focused on the theme of “The Black Frontier” to honor the legacy of Black cowboys and Black freedom. The event featured cultural showcases, storytelling, and the recognition of local elders aged 90 and over. The celebration also uplifted local Black entrepreneurship and provided free services like haircuts.
