  1. Black Business Brilliance – 6-9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at TAP Wine Lounge, 1011 Del Paso Blvd. This event, held on the fourth Monday monthly, celebrates and empowers entrepreneurs with innovative products and success strategies, paving the way for business excellence in the community. Join us in embracing the power of diversity and creativity in the business world. Tickets are $25 and include wine tasting and appetizers.
  2. Tinashe – Match My Freak World Tour – 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at Ace of Spades. Watch Tinashe perform all her hits like “Nasty,” “2 On” and “Needs.” Tickets from $76.
  3. “A Christmas Carol” – Show times vary, Nov. 26-Dec. 29 at Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. The greatest Christmas story of all time returns to B Street Theatre, this time with only three actors and an impossible task: give Ebenezer Scrooge a truly remarkable redemption story. Written by stand-up comic Sam Kebede, this fresh adaptation of the Christmas classic promises to be a hoot and a half. Tickets from $23.
  4. Mahogany Urban Poetry Series feat. Dahlak & Nicole Gentry – 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Our Place Event Space, 1107 Firehouse Alley. Get ready to be inspired by Dahlak Brathwaite, a phenomenal poet, writer, playwright, and world traveler. Dahlak has been featured on “HBO Def Poetry” and has toured the world with his performances, including his theater production, “Spiritrials.” The night will also feature Nicole Gentry, a talented musical artist, and guest singer Hayla V. Russell Cummings is the host. DJ Mitch Oshun curates the musical vibes. Tickets from $12.
  5. Lance Woods Live Comedy – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Punch Line Comedy Club. The Sacramento native is one of the hottest, most sought after young comedians today. His high-energy style, unique storytelling ability and clever punchlines give him universal appeal. Tickets from $23.
  6. Special Movie Screening of “Albany Road” – 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at the Guild Theater. Don’t miss the public premiere of “Albany Road,” which recently won the 2024 Oak Park Black Film Festival Best Feature Film. Directed by Christine Swanson, “Albany Road” centers on Celeste (Renée Elise Goldsberry), who is preparing for an important work trip and is dismayed that she has to share a car with her ex-fiancé’s mother, Paula (Lynn Whitfield). Celeste soon learns that Paula is keeping a big secret from her, with the movie exploring challenging family dynamics and the power of personal growth. Tickets are $12.
  7. Tony Roberts Live Comedy – 7 p.m. Friday-Sunday and 9:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, at Punch Line Comedy Club. Tony Roberts is a stand-up comedian known for his energetic performances, quick wit, and observational humor. His comedic style often blends everyday situations with larger-than-life enthusiasm, delivering punchlines with a mix of physical comedy and sharp timing. Tickets from $35.
  8. NEF The Pharaoh – 7:30-11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Harlow’s Redlight Lounge. NEF is a rapper and songwriter from Vallejo known for his energetic delivery, catchy hooks, and distinctive blend of Bay Area street rap with elements of mainstream hip-hop. Nef’s music often reflects the culture and lifestyle of the Bay Area, with a focus on flexing, partying, and street life, but he also brings a more introspective side to his work at times. Tickets are $19.
  9. KRS-One – 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Harlow’s. KRS-One is one of the most influential and respected figures in hip-hop history. Known as “The Teacha” for his deep intellectual approach to rap and his commitment to social and political consciousness, KRS-One helped shape hip-hop’s direction from its earliest days and continues to be a pioneering force in the genre. Tickets are $39.
  10. Bayou Classic Bash – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Digital Cafe and Lounge, Florin Square. Come out for an afternoon of HBCU football as you watch Grambling State take on Southern. There will be drinks, food and good vibes. Tickets are $12.
  11. A Night with The King – A Victory Life Bible Church Event – 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Victory Life Bible Church, 5697 Hillsdale Blvd. Get ready for an evening filled with worship, fellowship, a powerful message and amazing Nigerian food. They will discuss strengthening spirituality through Christ, financial challenges and strategies to overcome them, plus forming and maintaining platonic and romantic relationships through the power of Christ. Free, attendees must register.
  12. BIPOC Womxn Sound Bath for Racial Trauma – 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at UniverSOUL Cafe. This event is meant to provide restorative care, mental health support, nutritious food and child care. The focus is on helping BIPOC women regulate their nervous systems, reduce stress and lower blood pressure. Attendees must provide a donation to attend.
  13. All Black Afroboujie Party – 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at The Rink Studios, 1031 Del Paso Blvd. Prepare yourself to be treated to light hors d’oeuvres and flowing champagne while grooving to R&B, Afrobeats, Latin music, Afrohouse and hip-hop.
