- Golden 1 Credit Union Member Monday – 4:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at the media entrance of Golden 1 Center. Golden 1 Credit Union members are invited to participate in a behind the scenes tour and warmup watch experience. Must show proof of membership and ticket purchase.
- Auditions for โCabaretโ – 6:30-9:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 22-23, at the Harris Center. Falconโs Eye Theatre brings the Broadway smash hit to its main stage. Monday features open monologue/vocal auditions and Tuesday will have open dance auditions. Attendees must register.
- Sacramento Kings vs. Atlanta Hawks – 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Golden 1 Center. Support your Kings as they take on Trae Young and the Hawks. Tickets from $45.
- Bryte Park Master Park Implementation Project Public Meeting – 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Riverbank Elementary School in the multipurpose room. They want your input at this collaborative meeting. Light refreshments available. Free and open to the public.
- Chicago Steppin Beginner Class – 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Liaison Lounge. Come out for a free night of dancing third Wednesdays at this exclusive pop-up led by the Sacramento Majestic Steppers. Free and open to the public.
- Battle of the Sexes Comedy Competition – 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club. A local stand-up competition hosted by Tristan Johnson that highlights up-and-coming talent in and around Sacramento. Winners get a team cash prize. Tickets are $15.
- Candlelight: A Tribute to Adele – 7-9 p.m. and 9-11 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Center at Twenty Three Hundred. Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multisensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations never seen before in Sacramento. - Sacramento Career Fair – 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Marriott. This career fair is a great recruitment event to connect with top employers in government, sales, retail, education, information technology, engineering, healthcare, financial services, management, manufacturing, customer service and other career paths. - R.O.S.E. Ministry presents Refreshed and Renewed Experience 2024 – 7-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, and 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Hilton Sacramento Arden West. This weekend retreat will feature intrapersonal reflections, workshops, activities, fellowships and support, as well as delicious meals. Tickets are $100.
- Monster Jam – 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26-28, at Golden 1 Center. Witness the worldโs best drivers and their 12,000-pound monster trucks tear up the dirt in intense competitions of speed and skill. - 2024 Unity in Recovery: All for One, One for All – 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at United Methodist Church. Come together as a community to celebrate the power of recovery. - Womenโs Self-Defense Class – 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at 5862 South Land Park Drive. This class will empower women and instill in them the confidence to be able to defend themselves through situational awareness, mental toughness and aggressiveness. Tickets are $30.
- Experience McGeorge: An Open House Event – 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at McGeorge School of Law. The Office of JD Admissions invites all prospective students to experience McGeorge. Programming includes a student and alumni panel, a mock class, campus tour, admissions assistance and financial aid information. Attendees must register.
- Sacramento Mayoral Candidates Forum hosted by Sac Kids First – 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 27, at Hiram W. Johnson High School. Come out for a family-friendly forum to hear from the Sacramento mayoral candidates including Dr. Flojaune Cofer, Steve Hansen, Assemblymember Kevin McCarty and more. Free and open to the public.
- Dr. Carter G. Woodson Crab Feed Fundraiser – 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Christ Temple Apostolic Church. Join this finger-licking crab feast fundraiser honoring the legacy of Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Proceeds benefit college scholarships and community programs. Tickets are $75.
- 25th Anniversary MLK Celebration Sacramento – 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Sacramento State in the University Ballroom. Youโre invited to commemorate, celebrate and be educated as we remember the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the tens of thousands of people who have fought and continue to fight for equality across the country. - Global Goals Local Leaders: Quality Education – 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the California Railroad Museum in the Stanford Gallery. A panel of policy experts and practitioners discuss the innovative programs and practices being deployed to ensure more equitable access and outcomes across all levels of the educational system. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, ask questions, support the efforts and learn about the progress being made. Tickets from $10.
- Purple and Gold Gala – 6-10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Granite Bay Country Club. This event is being hosted to keep the doors open for the Lupus Foundation of Northern California and the Purple Pageant 2024.
